Job Description:
Solyco Capital, a leading venture capital and private equity investment firm, is seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as a Venture Capital Analyst. As a Venture Capital Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, round pricing and supporting portfolio management activities.
Location: DFW metroplex TX; Birmingham, MI
Note: Two applicants may be hired, one for each location.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Screening and Evaluation: Assess potential investment opportunities by conducting thorough market research, financial analysis, and due diligence. Evaluate the viability, scalability, and competitive positioning of target companies.
- Financial Modeling: Develop comprehensive financial models to analyze investment returns, cash flow projections, and valuation metrics. Utilize various valuation methodologies to assess the potential value creation of investment opportunities.
- Due Diligence: Perform detailed due diligence on target companies, including analyzing historical financial performance, assessing management teams, and identifying key risks and opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors throughout the due diligence process.
- Investment Memo Preparation: Prepare investment memorandums and presentation materials for internal investment committees. Clearly articulate investment theses, risks, and potential returns to support decision-making processes.
- Portfolio Management Support: Assist in monitoring and managing existing portfolio companies, including conducting regular performance reviews, tracking key metrics, and providing strategic support to portfolio management teams.
- Industry Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics within target sectors. Provide insights and recommendations based on industry research to support investment decision-making.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with senior investment professionals and other team members to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Relevant work experience in investment banking, management consulting, or venture capital/private equity is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in excel, financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Demonstrated passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
