JP Norkus

JP Norkus has over 30 years of commercial banking and turnaround & restructuring experience.  He has earned the Chartered Financial Analysts (“CFA”) and Certified Turnaround Professional (“CTP”) designations.  He has an MBA in Finance and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

 

Before joining Solyco Capital, JP was most recently an EVP – Chief Credit Officer for a Southeast Michigan community bank. Prior to joining the bank in 2020, JP was a Managing Director for a boutique Michigan-based consultancy firm for eleven years serving in various transformation leadership roles including Chief Restructuring Officer, Court-appointed receiver and CFO, serving business owners and private equity firms.  Successful engagements included a wide-range of industries including automotive, marine, furniture, appliance, recreational and agribusiness.

 

JP held a variety of commercial banking leaderships roles including relationship management and credit administration.  The most recent prior to his transition was Senior Vice President – Regional Credit Officer for a Top-20 regional bank.

 

JP also has been asked to serve as an outside Board of Director for various entities, including serving for nine years on the board of Hamilton Farm Bureau, as a voting member and third chair.  During his tenure, in addition to completing various strategic acquisitions and joint ventures, Hamilton Farm Bureau successfully merged into CHS, Inc., a Fortune 100 Company.
