Serial Entrepreneur and Business Development Strategist

After receiving her degree in Nursing, Elyse used her medical foundation to establish the first nurse owned and operated Medical Management Firm in the Midwest, specifically Metropolitan Detroit. The company specialized in catastrophic injuries, primarily Spinal Cord and Closed Head. In less than a year, branches opened in two other Michigan cities and employing diverse specialties, i.e. occupational therapy, speech therapy, rehabilitation nurses, and physiatrists. In addition, a quadriplegic staff peer counselor inspired the newly injured with his holistic approach to life. The company was featured on PM Magazine and in news publications. They also sponsored educational seminars and a wheel chair basketball team.

 

She moved to Texas and launched Victory Hearing Aids and multiple Texas locations which were later sold.

 

Upon relocating to SoCal, as Strategist and Director of Business Development for a local Acoustical Design Firm which she led through multiple stages of expansion. It became an international firm with revenues increasing over 100% at each stage of growth. Eventually the company acquired several small firms. Veneklasen Associates became a household name in the world of Acoustics, Vibration, and Audiovisual Design. This increased the revenues and scope of services within the architectural and engineering fields.

 

Projects ranged from finding innovative solutions for scientific vibration issues to internationally acclaimed and award-winning projects such as the 1.4 B Tom Bradley Terminal Expansion. Simultaneously, she consulted with Health Care Resource Group, which became a national case management company.

 

Currently, Elyse is Director of Investor Relations for Solyco Capital, a boutique Private Equity/Venture Capital firm and is an Advisory to Innovative Healthcare Management Group in the United Kingdom.

 

Personal accomplishments include two adult children who are successful members of the California Bar; mentoring CEO’s and Business Development Professionals in operations and decision-making including M & A, future sectors of development and scaling; mentoring Youth at Risk in the LA area and dis-advantaged women in life and career goals.

 

Philanthropic Endeavors include Board Positions with SMPS, (Society of Marketing Professional Services), involvement in Rotary LA5 on the grant committee, being the writing mentor at Children of the Night through Create Now, Dog Rescue Organizations and participation in fund-raising efforts with numerous non-profit groups.

 

Other interests include creative writing, the arts, travel and living a healthy and active lifestyle.
