Globally recognized Risk and Security expert, and former Tier 1 Special Forces operator, Dean Stott serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Solyco Capital.
In this capacity Dean will lend his experience aiding in strategic partnerships and opportunity development and leveraging his global network and operational expertise to help founders scale and investors find meaningfully validated opportunities.
After serving 16 years in the military earning distinction within the UK’s elite Special Forces (SBS) Dean transitioned into the private sector, where he built a reputation advising governments, Fortune 500s, and UHNW families on crisis management, evacuations, and security strategy. His work has taken him to some of the most volatile regions in the world, and he continues to shape best-in-class standards in private security and operational leadership.
In addition to his role at Solyco Capital, Dean serves on the boards of the British American Business Council Los Angeles, Invictus Games San Diego 2029, Heroic Hearts Project, and Scottish Target Shooting. Dean is a Double Guinness World Record Holder for the ‘Fastest person to cycle the Pan American Highway’ (14,000 miles in 99 days) and the ‘Fastest person to cycle the entire length of South America’ (48 days). In the Kings Birthday honors list 2024, Dean was awarded the MBE (Member of the most excellent Order of the British Empire) for his services to Humanitarian, Sport and Mental Health Awareness.
