Ajoy brings 25+ years of experience in thematic investing, financial strategy, and operational leadership. He has effectively navigated start-ups, high-growth enterprises, distressed companies, and global corporations. Ajoy has demonstrated his adaptability in corporate, entrepreneurial, and private equity-backed ventures with leadership roles such as Lead Investor, CFO, COO, and Restructuring and Transformational Executive.

 

Ajoy has completed transactions totaling $2 billion+ in aggregate value including capital raises and mergers and acquisitions. Moreover, Ajoy plays an active role in upholding corporate governance standards by serving as a board member in sectors, encompassing Technology & Business Services, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Financial Services.

 

As a Senior Partner at Solyco Capital, Ajoy pilots the intricacies of startup ecosystems, making strategic investments and guiding emerging companies towards sustainable success. Prior to joining Solyco, Ajoy served as a CFO for a midsize technology company where he played role in architecting the company’s explosive growth over 14 years, generating a 10x return for shareholders.

 

Ajoy is committed to philanthropy and volunteerism in his community.  He actively addresses food insecurity by collaborating with the North Texas Food Bank, where he raises awareness and secures donations. Ajoy is engaged in the Sehgal Foundation’s mission to empower rural communities in India through community-led development initiatives, fostering positive social, economic, and environmental change. Additionally, he serves as a mentor to a select group of high school students, guiding them toward successful careers in finance.

 

Earlier in his career, Ajoy spent a decade at General Motors and Delphi, where he led both organic and inorganic expansion strategies in emerging Asia-Pacific markets. Subsequently, he played a role in restructuring underperforming business lines within these organizations.

 

Ajoy spent his childhood in eight countries and earned his Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
